It show another view from the side of a track. This time it's Richmond at
night.
I can't wait!! There's even rust coming from the fences on the top of the
wall...

That's nice, but IMHO, I'd rather see a much improved physics engine
than a bunch of eye candy.

Ya but as you see you have the straight pit wall, and you see the chain fence.
Which tells you this sure isnt the N2-N3 physics engine.

I've already covered this...but here goes again.  The EYE CANDY isn't
the big feature...The fact that the pit lanes are straight means that
the ANCIENT ICR2/N2/N99/N3 code has been retired.  The only code-set
that Papyrus owns that can produce a track like those featured is the
GPL engine.
If you have been paying attention here for the last two years...you
might have noticed that NOBODY has even come close to the driving
experience afforded by the GPL code.
You aren't getting an 'improved' physics engine.  You are getting the
King of the Hill.  Unless they totally botch the implementation of the
Winston Cup car, you won't find ANY sim out there that comes close to
what GPL has to offer for N4.
Will it be perfect?  Nope, not a chance, but will it far surpass N3?
I'd bet the farm.  Will it be as pretty as the EA games...I doubt it.

From what I hear (which by no means is official in any way) is that N4 will
implement a modified GPL physics engine.  It will have 6 degrees of freedom.
Other than that, who knows what "modified" may refer too.  It could mean
simply implemented with Winston Cup cars in mind or it could mean "dumbied
down" so its "not too hard".   AND - Lets not start the 1967 F1 cars are
suppose to be hard to drive debate... I already agree with it!  Im just
passing on what I heard through the grape vine.

Who cares about the graphics?  N3 graphics would suit me fine if
improved physics and much improved AI were implemented, the latter
especially if online racing is going to be no better than what
currently exists for gpl/n3.

Yep, I noticed the straight pit roads, etc.  I also have been told my
taxes would be lowered :)
  Remember the N3 movie?

Until the game's released with all the features that they advertise
for pre-release, nothing's been retired, IMO.
Been there, done that, with N3...  And yes, I am a huge fan of Papy.
Just stating the truth :)

Not trying to get in an argument, just making the point that
screenshots, previews, etc. don't mean a whole lot from anyone, not
just Papy.

Also, fwiw, GPL is my favorite racing sim :)

Just my .02

IMHO 2000 Winston Cup cars are not a piece of cake to hang on to either.  After
attending Bristol this year my thoughts were confirmed.  Here is a quote from a
post I made directly after the race titled "The Bristol Experience":

"For a while I focused only on the transition (between turn 4 and the front
stretch).  As each car came around the corner it was so cool to see how hard
these guys were working just to hang on to their cars.  Many times the backend
would start to break loose (these guys were driving on the edge) and I would see
them fight to keep control and avoid contact with the wall.  Whenever I see the
physics of these cars in action like this it makes me dream of Kaemmer's
forthcoming Nascar simulation..."

IMHO... everyone was talking about that GPL so I went and got it.  I loaded it and was disgusted at
how the game played.  I can not believe I wasted my money on that worthless pile of junk.  If the
make Nascar 4 anything like that pile of junk, I will not be purchasing that.  Sure, when you hit
something you see pieces fly, but the driving engine really sucks.

All I want to know about id the physics engine. If it's just another
update of the tired old N2 engine, forget it.

-<+>-HAHAHAHA LOL.. Oh my God...
-<+>-Go back to your Nintendo son.

Your son... Hahaha, that is funny.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion.  I always see opinions
praising GPL, and I thought "wow this thing must be good"   What a surprise when I actually fired up
the program.  Webster should change the definition of junk to include a reference to GPL.  FYI I
would not even consider owning a Nintendo (or a game machine as such)

Oh man, now you've done it... prepare for ridicule. LOL ;-)

Not hitting stuff is the whole point of the game BTW.
