Anyway, those shots look pretty close to photo realistic, especially the
gantry shadow effect.

I suppose I'll have to start saving for an MB and processor upgrade now.

I using netscape, and when the window pops up displaying the thumbnailed
screenshots, I couldn't believe what I was looking at.  Had to view them
fullscreen so I could tell it was a screenshot of a pc sim!!!

Wonder what sort of system those screenshots were taken on........

Don't waste your time on a Voodoo5 - someone said the sim will be
supporting hardware transform and lighting (T&L), and the Voodoo cards
don't do this.  Your best recourse at this time (if this is indeed the
case) is to get a GeForce2 card.

Good grief, those shots are marvelous!  I wish they posted the system specs,
but it looks like I'll be upgrading again (last upgrade was entirely due to
GPL).

And I shouldn't even mention this, but can you imagine a CART sim or even a
GPL2 with these graphics?  Sigh....

Not that I want to turn this into a V5/GF2 debate, but IMHO I think
4xFSAA will improve the game more than if T&L is implemented(which of
course doesn't make the game LOOK any better) I'm also assuming that

should be fairly easy.
I can't imagine any sim freak (like myself) would consider anything but
a V5 (as an upgrade over a GF2)
Games like F12k (and N3) are just begging for 4xFSAA. I'm still
salivating over those GPL shots, and this is a game that really doesn't
need FSAA.
