Papy posted a new screenshot of the 83 car getting airborne and
backwards at Talladega.  The first thing I noticed is the pitroad is
straight. Then, I noticed the car with three wheels off the ground and
the fourth about to follow its friends.
        WOW!!!

Looks Great... my 2c worth.. Take a look at the tires, they look low
enough to be responding to the lack of ground  (visible working shocks
like GPL)
Second with almost no crowd, it looks like practice which means
someone is gonna be pissed <G>

Incredible detail!
Look At Mayfields' car coming into the screenshot. It's hard to tell the
difference from a real picture.
It may be a detail, but I hope the roof flaps are working too.

No, I think his point is very well said.  If we compare what we see in those
screenshots to a title released not even half a decade ago, the picture
quality and texture resolution is closer and closer to photo-realistic
quality.  Take a peek at RC2000 for example, or in those case, the two
NASCAR titles who will be released this year.

Take a distance of a meter from the screen and look at his front fender.
Still, Im unsure if what we see is actually a reflection of the road.  It's
probably just a different gray shading.

What Papy needs to do now, is make the roof line on the #12 car a
half inch too low, and give it 5 more hp for running altered fuel for
realism :/

Oh...most certainly, Tim.  I was only chatting about this yesterday, as a
matter-of-fact, with my son and we were discussing how we used to oooh! and
aaaah! over 256 colour-SVGA graphics!

However, "photo-realistic" this isn't....even _with_ my glasses!
