I found a cool screenshot of a car getting airborne at Dega!  N4 is going to be
the greatest racing sim ever!!  Check it out!

The car isn't exactly airborne, it's still touching the ground with
two wheels. Compare that to some airborne shots in GPL :)
But indeed, allthough I prefer F1 much more than Nascar, I'm really
looking forward to this one!
GPL got me interested (and how!) in historical F1, who knows, maybe
Nascar 4 turns me into a typical Nascar fan!
Uh, maybe I shouldn't buy Nascar 4 then :)

if ya wanna get technical, in N3, under certain crash conditions, you can
see 1 wheel leave the ground during good wall smacks..Look at the replays
when ya dork the boards real good.. I first noticed it at Watkins after
getting tail happy out of corner 1 on dead tires !

Johnny Benson got pancaked into the wall so hard by me once on N3 at C***te,
excuse me, Lowe's Motor Speedway... that he did a small wheelie.  It woulda
been more fun for me except for the fact that I was involved in the crash and
DNFed...

Nascar Heat's model is similar in that the car can (and will) go airborne.
The expert mode will rival N4 physics, IMHO.  It should draw more
people into the Sim Racing world with it's Normal/Aracade mode, Challenge
mode, and Race the Pro mode.  It looks to be one of the most complete racing
games/sims ever produced, in that it should attract a wide variety of users and
should sell very well.

I'll definitely be buying N4 and Nascar Heat.

And what you think Nascar Racing 4 will only draw people from the simracing
crowd? Have you ever seen the great arcade-features that are featured in
earlier Papyrus stock-car titles?

No... I just think Heat will draw more of the non-simracing crowd than N4
because of it's depth of playability due to the extra modes.  The more
we draw in, the more we convert.  Heat will have the ability to do that as
both the arcade and sim modes should be excellent.  A rarity in racing
games/sims... don't you think?

Yep and I really don't want to get involved with such people in multiplayer.
It will be good for them, but meanwhile me and other veterans will be having
a blast with N4.  Offline racing for me does not exist anymore, it's not the
future of virtual reality motorsports.

I figure I'm going to do with N4 and Heat the same thing I've done in the
past couple years: get both and play each until one ticks me off and then
switch to the other, etc.

Nascar Heat is looking good.  It is definately going to appeal to a large
range of users.  NDA prevents me from revealing more.  Sorry.
