I don't think so...It's defined as a non-CFC based refrigerant know as
HFC-134.

Am I missing something here?  It seems to me that posting a "freon"
spam on rec.MOTORCYCLE.Whatever is as useful as *** on a bull.
I guess in order to be honest if I sell my bike I've got to advertize it
as having "no air".

A company called "InterCool Energy" apparently has the first
EPA-certified R-12 replacement called FR-12.  For more information:

or do a Web search on "InterCool Energy."

I thought you got a hell of a lot of air on a bike :-)

Though having seen bikes with hifi setups in fairings, how far are we
away from bikes with chilled air hoses to their riders space-suits ?

Hmmm riding through town in a faithful replica of an Apollo suit would
certainly cause a stir...

   Cheers

Dontcha think the bio-heat of powering the airco pump would exceed the
cooling effect?
Don't believe the human body is a very efficient engine....;-))

I read a post a while back that talked about Lease cars and what to
and not to look for!!

Well I am the guy you FEAR! I am the one who goes on vacation and
rents a luxury 40,000 car like a lincoln Towne car or a caddilac
Seville!

Then The first thing I do is get on the highway in 1st gear and leave
it there for a while. If I am at a location with drive able beaches
like in Galveston Texas I take a spin on the sand at about 100 Mph and
do doughnuts.  Another favorite is to put the AIR on high and If I am
waiting at a Stoplight I run it up in neutral till the rev-limiter
kicks er off and on and hold it there and slam it into gear.

The Lincoln I had started smoking after 2 days of this so I took it to
a car wash cleaned it in and out , called the 1-800 # and told em to
come get the damn thing and they do every time!

I feel its my right to do this. Cause if guys like me dont they will
SHAFT the rest of you with the cars at 30,000 miles and I guarantee
they wont keep the ones I drive that long......

Also NEVER sign the Insurance waiver thing. Use your own and let them
worry about it if it gets crashed. I had one stolen in florida 2 years
ago and the chick said "For 2 dollars more You could have gotten theft
Insurance" I said what the *** do I care it wasnt mine and You cant
claim it on my insurance since you "HERTZ" is self insured.
They tried it though and my company "State fFarm" told em to BLOW!!!

I know a lot of you wont agree with me and might even get a little
pissed. But it needs to be done, I have been doing it for 9 years now
and never had a problem.....at least I never had one.....heheheh LOL

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. I was joking about the idea
of a motorbike with an airconditioning system feeding cooled air to a
spacesuited rider.  Maybe we are misunderst - Oh, did you think I meant
a pedal cycle ?  Ah.  Sorry, I was thinking of a BMW RS100 poster a
colleague had with a rider in a full white suit and helmet, I always
thought it was an attempt to look like "Apollo" styling.

   Cheers
