Wow, so you got a joystick to work. Yippie!
Yes, so what? I agree, that the computer can do a billion things as a
"general purpose machine". You're point is that it's weak for games because
it's a general purpose machine. My point is that it's good for games PLUS
everything else, BECAUSE it's a general purpose machine.
. Games are special purpose apps which do benefit from special
YES, games do benefit from special purpose equipment. Again I agree.
However, there are some types of games that you will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER
see on X-box. For example . . . Falcon 4! I love flight sims. You won't
ever see any *** flight sims on console systems. At most, you will see
watered down, extremely simplified flight sims that appeal to ages 12 and up.
Cosole games are designed for people who don't have the attention span or
ability to learn the extremely complex flight sims with 50 million commands
that have to be used and often memorized.
Cosole game systems are great for people who want FAST, SIMPLE games. But
they suck for people who want real, *** flight sims. Also, there is a
much greater diversity of games and types of games available for the PC,
becuase the PC can be used as a general purpose tool to CREATE new games, by
ANYONE who learns programming all over the world.
Consoles on the other hand, are mostly limited to special programmers who are
hired by those big companies to create games on their system. So you have
less creativity with console games than with PC games.
