It depends a bit on what your priorities in cash spending are. I find
the PS2 worth my money, even though the games are all targeted for a
bit of quick entertainment (I'd never dream of playing The Sims on a
PS2).

I just want to throw the disc in, and PLAY! That's why I also never
play CD's in my DVD; it takes forever to recognize.

I'm not a movie buff and I have a TV that was decent when it was new, 5
years ago :-) so I'm not investing a lot of money in this, for me it's
either a cheap DVD player or a console.....would you say that the
consoles' picture quality is a lot worse than a 200 dollar DVD player ?
