Do you honestly believe this?

For me it has nothing to do with seeing over a hood, it's all about being
able to enjoy the game or not.   If I didn't have the option of the outside
view I couldn't participate.  The inside view causes me nausea.

Okay, I give up. But the answer is still 'No'...

The answer cannot be 'no', now can it? Are you saying that not one
single roof rider's racing style has been influenced by the fact you can
see over a crumpled hood?

"Schooner"
It's the elitest attitude of some***pit

Schooner it's theChicken and the Egg syndrome,  if there weren't any
kite-flying/roof-riding/bumper-camming drivers, then we wouldn't have to
worry about the elitest attitude of some cagers now would we?  :)

Yeah, there might be a couple.  But to assume that ALL roof riders drive like
***because they can see over a crumpled hood is absurd.  Some***pit drivers
are wreckers - doesn't mean we ALL are...

Bah, I shot 258, 258, and 214 last night.  730 series.  I had some of the best
bowlers in the house watching me and congratulating me.  My average should be
back over 200 after this week.  I don't think I'm going to give up any time
soon. ;)

Where did I say all? I do think it's likely that all will be affected to
some degree, though. What makes you think that only a couple occupy the
extreme end of the scale?

That's not what he said at all.  If you weren't such a stupid cunt, you'd
have seen that.

cheers

The ONLY time I've ever broken 200 was 20 years ago when I 'bumped' into a
Dolly Parton sized  clone right before starting...bowled in a daze...missed
the headpin 3 times and still got strikes...:)  Inspiration is a mother.

Yes. ;-)

Right, finally I will elaborate on the one-word answers...

Just because you can see over a crumpled hood, doesn't in any way mean that
you go into a race *trying* to crumple it. That is probably the funniest
thing I have heard in a loooong time.

"Dave, why are you hitting your legs with a baseball bat?"
"Don't worry, Gary - I can still walk."

Nick.

Well if the two of you weren't both stupid cunts you'd both realize it's
not a conscious decision.

That's what *extreme* means.  A few at each end.  You're right - you DIDN'T say
'all.  But your wording implied it.  Your statement seemed to be "Well, if even
ONE person drives that way because of the roof cam, then it's a bad thing."  As
if that's the key point of your whole argument.  I don't see that as the case,
s'all....
I do think it gives people an advantage, whether they want to admit it or not.
You're viewing from a higher, uncluttered vantage point.  That means you can
see the turns better, and you can see trouble occuring farther down the track.
If the people who use roof view don't see that logic, then it's a wasted
discussion.  ANYTHING that helps you see the track better helps you drive
better.  Common sense, IMO.
