I should have said this one is a matter of taste because I personally
prefer EA's Nascar Thunder 2004 (PC version) but I knew that would get
howls of derision here and N2003 by Papyrus is considered the best by
most.

I like the driving feel of NT2004 better than N2003, that's why I
prefer it.
I tracked that down just to try the cart mod that was available. You think
that is a good product? I admit, I'm waaaay used to other titles, , but
man, it just seems not sorted. The braking is mucho stronger than
F1c...that is probably an area they got right. Steering seems to be very
severe at slow speeds...not unstable severe, just turnin, turnin, turnin,
go 85degreesswoosh...
dh
Yeah, NT2004 feels better to me too but I acknowledge that NR2003 is the
better all round game
If you're going to get a copy of Thunder then you might as well pick up
a copy of Cart Precision Racing to go with it.
I was partly joking :P
Although GP4 does have some good points such as AI and faithful tracks
it is poor in other areas - physics, multi etc, but you can have some
enjoyable racing with it when it is correctly setup.
I recently tried F1C but found it unplayable due to enormous steering
lag - you know I turn my wheel and a few seconds later the onscreen
wheel turns.
Seriously, I rate Papyrus's Nascar Racing 2003 Season as the best sim.
It's not an arcade game.
