I will fuel the fire no more but I've watched for many weeks without
hardly saying a word.. Sadly his comments are redundantly old and
fruitless now...... Thom_j.

He raves that we are just "playing games", so why does he quote Einstein???
Mr. T is a much more appropriate character in our situation   ;-D

And later recanted it, after watching the replay.

True, but he's come close, and has a second place.  How many wins did
Schumacher have after, what, six races (I don't know, but I can't imagine
it was a whole lot more than Montoya has...)?  I think he's off to a
much better-than-average start.

Schumacher doesn't think so.

As were Schumacher's towards him, by Schumacher's own admission.

Even Schumacher says he didn't.

Personally, I think Montoya is an exciting driver, and is worthy of
the hype.  But then, I think the same of GPL, so what do I know?  ;-)

In my experience you have yet to show any understanding of or consideration
for the emotional intensity for the participants associated with any form of
motorsport, real or virtual (just like Einstein, perhaps?). Are you trying
to say an intelligent/educated person can not be immersed by a "mere"
computer game? -You must go through a hell of lot of "Simple Green" to keep
that ivory tower of yours clean.

Ha, yeah right! BTW david, you do realize that you're one of my 'merry
men', one of the little pet trolls i keep in my pocket so whenever I'm
bored I can take you out and make you dance and sing for my amu***t?

Now back you go, there's a good lad....

LOL!

Thanks for the appreciation of my character. Schumacher ate his words
afterward (after having seen the incident from "our" perspective), leaving
you with egg on your face.

You're pretty good at misreading posts too.

Why would he need to win? The thing to look for in a driver is raw speed.
It's either there or it isn't. Montoya has raw speed. Consistency, cunning
and proper demeanor can be learned.

Perfectly legit and within the rules, as admitted by Schumacher.

Your own comments after some cuts you up badly in traffic are never
broadcast to the world... remember that.

Amazing what you read into people's words. To me it sounds as if Berger did
the same thing I did: shrug and say "he'll learn". Perhaps Patrick Head
added "or else!". ;-)

Is he? -It's common knowledge that Williams is a tough love outfit, so he
shouldn't be surprised.

If a total hack like myself can enjoy it, imagine what it feels like to him!
;-)

For the second time, Schumacher has only said that he now doesn't believe
Montoya DELIBERATELY TRIED TO TAKE HIM OFF THE TRACK. I NEVER thought
Montoya did that either. He hasn't said whether or not he believes Montoya
used poor judgement or acted immaturely during that incident, as Russ Brawn
and millions of others have. Big difference.

He also lucked into the third fastest team in F1. R. Schumacher has
outqualified him in every race but one (Montoya outqualified him by one
position in Austria). R.Schumacher is the Williams driver who has one a race
this year.

A lot of drivers make stupid mistakes in racing. So what if they are within
the rules?

By calling it just a "racing incident" I think he's pretty much hinting
that he doesn't believe Montoya did anything wrong. Where's your
evidence for the millions that agree with "Russ" Brawn?

No luck about it. He got there by winning races, titles and being a
quick driver. I can think of at least one German Ferrari driver who did
luck into F1 though, courtesy of Bertrand Gachot.

He's also the one who has managed to stay out of Verstappen's way :-)

David always thinks that the 'silent majority' agrees with him, that's
all the 'evidence' he needs.

Cheers

Why do I need to provide evidence, and you don't?

Anyway, F1 races attract on average about 300 million viewers for each race.
I'm sure that there are millions of F1 fans who don't see every race as
well. Even if only 10% of the viewers agree with ROSS Brawn, then there's at
least 30 million for you. Do you really think only 1 out of 10 F1 viewers
this week agree with Brawn's comments?
