Looks to fill the niche that was just talked about here on RAS.  Looks
interesting and Im looking forward to some reviews.

----------
For racing at home, Logitech at E3 introduces the G25 Racing Wheel. The
system includes a six-speed shifter and clutch pedal, two force-feedback
motors, an 11-inch wheel, and a full 900 degrees of rotation. Logitech says
the second motor makes directional forces more realistic letting indoor
drivers feel everything from the banks in the road to impact with walls or
other cars. The system is expected to be available in October for $299.

Logitech's G25 Racing Wheel includes a six-speed gear shift system with a
push-down reverse gear. Gamers will be able to skip gears to slow down or
accelerate in and out of turns. Logitech says it will be compatible with
newer games for PCs and the PlayStation 2.

Gear shift pic here for those that didn't go onto the next page.

Looks rather nice. Do you reckon the gear leaver is a separate unit and
can be mounted independently from the wheel? I always found Logi
shifters to be too high up and close to the wheel for my liking integral
to the wheel unit.

Cheers

Hello Tony

I can't seem to locate anymore information on the unit..... <darn>
but looking at the pictures -- "it appears" that the shift is a remote unit.
When you look at the pic of the wheel it seems that you can see the whole
"base" for the wheel and there is no "attached" shifter.
I HOPE it is a separate piece... can't wait to get one!!

I'm not sure that it fills the niche - it just looks like more plastic stuff
that will break in 6-12 months of regular use.  Hope I'm wrong though.

Also, have you had a look at the mounts for the pots in their new pedals?
They are made of the flimsiest plastic imaginable.

I don't use logi pedals with my logi wheel. I use redlines.
