New Logi MOMO FF wheel

From the description the hardware of new Logi MOMO FF wheel is more like the
recent cheap version than the old cable driven version, but with a lot f
improvements and the momo wheel. But looking at a picture of the pedals,
it's surprisingly similar to the pedal set of the old LWFF. And we all know
enough about those pedals....
Did anyone see the wheel in the shops as a demo ? Did anyone have the chance
tot test this wheel ?

Personally I don't mind those pedals, though the brake pedal is
perhaps a little too vertical in it's travel...

For the price, I would be very surprised if it uses gears and not
cables.  I am guessing that it's similar to the original LWFF except
for leather wheel, 2 extra buttons and more metal parts i.e. pedals,
shifters - not to mention a metal shaft and bearing.  It's about $30
dearer than the LWFF when it first appeared.

Sorry, it does not use cables. And actually, I also think it's very
expensive. But maybe tests will show that this wheel is really special.

Thanks Andi, you were correct about the link. Btw, a lot of people are
preordering the wheel !
Do they know more about it or are they just plain stupid ? I personally
would never order something for that amount of money without knowing at
least some important details of it.

due to fluxating currency rates and difficult overseas problems, an exact
number is difficult to pin-point.  However, the money market is already
treating the world like the President is.... to that effect....GIVE US the
damn 500 buckos or Aussieland will be classified a haven for terrorists and
turned into a giant wading pool...:)
