| I got Grand Prix Legends today but can't get it to run. I did a full
| install. When I try to run it the screen goes black and changes res like

Seems like I can't play it with the keyboard though. Is that right or have I
missed something obvious ? I haven't got a Joystick or any other analog
device here. Can't GPL be played with the keyboad only ?

| Right click on your GPL folder > Properties > Advanced > check "For fast

Minus the disco patch, which is not need as the cpu fix contains an improved
version of it.

No sir! IMHO, a wheel is the only way to go, it's a blast (awesome force
feedback if you happen to have a FF wheel). Failing that, I go with a
gamepad or joystick.

Or to put it another way, yes you can, just assign the keys you want in the
setup menu, but gpl isn't really intended for use without analogue controls,
so you won't be as fast as you could be.

But lots of other people do, and it does no harm to allow indexing on the
gpl folder without actually switching the indexing service on. I have one
win2k PC where C:\ is NTFS & that's where gpl is installed. I had to enable
indexing for gpl to work.

Allowing indexing is not the same as enabling it.
