RASCAR: Weekly update

Actually I hadnt read what was woven into the other message and I cant find
the original post.  Im not sure who it's from but it doesnt sound like you
John.  Whoever its from just shows pure selfishness on their part.   Im
surprised you would even consider fracturing RASCAR in that way John, pretty
darn sad on both your parts really.

>RASCAR hasnt crashed and burned.  What because you dont start the server
>every week you dont want to play anymore?  Nothing has really changed much
>at all.  We had many great races before the blowup but sadly we had many
>more that were really bad.  We're still out there trying regardless.

Since I'm a nice guy, I'll ignore what some could take as a cheap shot at me.
<g>
My lack of participation really doesn't have anything to do with my not
providing a server anymore.  If you recall, I had stopped driving for a while
before.  I wasn't happy with my performance, but I was more than happy to host
even if I wan't running myself.  After getting a lecture from John about how I
should be racing because I was an admin, I started driving again.  My
performance still sucked, but at least I was involved.  I simply don't have the
time to practice enough to keep it between the walls.  No sense in screwing it
up for everyone else.

Because he's *good* at being the heavy, and I had my doubts that people would
listen to me anyway.  They hadn't in the past...  Maybe I over-reacted, but
that's how I felt at the time.
I also agreed with a lot of what John wanted to do, so I didn't see the harm in
it.

Really?  Then I apologize.  I may have initially not responded due to a lack of
time, then lost the mail in my inbox, then lost the inbox itself with the hard
drive crash.

I know, thanks.  Jan keeps needling me to race again as well...<g>

Chalk that up to a ***ed up day at work, and other stuff going wrong with my
life.  I wasn't exactly in a cheerful mood when I wrote that.  As you can see,
I didn't follow through on it.

Same can be said for Simmons.   We're just
I know, and I appreciate it.

Yeah, well...I can understand that.  If I had disagreed with the plans(or even
if I'd been on the 'other side of the table', I might have reacted the same
way.

thare was anyone else in there - apart from John's multiple personalities
of course :)

RASCAR: Weekly update

Since you insist on responding to messages that I'm not directing at
you...

First, I'm not fracturing anything. I'm just living by the same
recommendations so many other people (including myself) gave you and
Dave when the bullshit started. Here it is in paraphrased form:

"If you don't like the rules in a league you're
running in, get out and start your own league
or join one that has rules you can live with."

If you and Dave would have done that back in August when it was
suggested to you, we wouldn't be sitting here now discussing it, now
would we?

Saturday is a convenient time for me to race. Just because I am no
longer racing in RASCAR doesn't mean I'm going to go out of my way to
start another league that races in a timeframe that isn't convenient
for me just because it conflicts with RASCAR's start time.

If I end up getting a league started, and if some of the RASCAR guys
want to join, that's fine with me, if they don't, that's fine too.

Rascar 2003!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe having raced RASCAR for two years its better than ever.   Last
year it
was great as well.    The drivers are very competitive with fixed setups.
They
are more important courteous and know when to race you and when to give
room.

RASCAR 2002 was 2002, Its now 2003 and its time to move on and
make it even better for 2004.   Dave and Mitch are doing a great job and
were lucky to have a great foundation that Eldred conceived along with
other founders...

Enuff Said, Lets Race!

Don Wilshe

PS.  Let the snipping stop especially by those that dont race so therefore
dont have a clue as to what RASCAR now is all about.

LOL

So, you 'volunteered' to take control of RASCAR by buying your own server.
Fine.  Call it whatever you want but you're playing on words.

Well here's mine ...

You force a guy like Eldred to quit, then conveniently get the only other moron
here to help you buy your way in, and you think of yourself as a volunteer?  You
make me laugh.  Jan was the first person to step up and offer a server when
Eldred quit.  Not you buddy.  Although I was disappointed at him backing out of
that offer, I understood why he didn't feel like pressing the issue.

Sure, you're just some nice guy who wants the best for RASCAR.  Right.

I'll tell you one thing.  You and ***up will never, ever get as much respect
around here as Eldred did.  No way.  Never.  All he has to do is open up his
server, get John back in it, and they will get just as many people as you did.
They'll certainly get me back.  Among others, they are the ones who built
something worth stealing, not you.

Do yourself a favor and do not fool yourself into thinking people will look at
you any other way.

Regardless leave me out of your bizzarro world.

Didn't you make comments about it when you weren't racing?  That's fine, but
now you're espousing a standard that you yourself didn't follow...  Just be
consistent, man...

I think it's Tim White Eldred.  He and David had issues but he continues to
hammer me (for reasons unknown) so he's the sole member of my killfile which
was why I didnt see any original posts.  No matter.

Just to set the record straight Tim quit RASCAR on his own.  Neither David
nor I ever so much as mentioned him in any conversation.  If he feels forced
out of RASCAR then thats something he must deal with on his own cause he
wasnt forced to do anything he didnt want to that I know of anyway :)
