The hunt for the championship continues. Neil holds a 23 point edge over
Ginger. Its coming down to the final weeks of the season and neither has so
much as blinked. Both were prepared for Mart and I'd expect both will be
ready in the following weeks.

Mart went very well. Somewhere around 5 cautions. We had 10 guys on
Teamspeak which really added to my enjoyment. I'd like to everyone on
before the end of the summer season. All around a pretty good Mart. Good
job drivers pat yourselves on the back :)

If there was ever a replay to watch from someone elses car, this is the one.
Either Neil or Gingers will do :) I HAVE to figure out what line these guys
used because it was STRONG!

Yeah, it took me an hour to get past this :)

Just log in as ANONYMOUS (click the button for this). You know the
password.

It will work then.

I think since there are no username limitations, having ANY username in
there for the login is what causes the problem. Using anonymous gets rid of
the issue.

No. That happened because two people didn't like the fact that the
rules were going to be rigidly enforced, so instead of just quitting,
they decided to disrupt the whole operation.

for the 2004 season weeks before the coup started. The reason we
didn't do it this year was because the season was more than half
over, and we didn't want to disrupt the reason people joined for
*this* season. Besides, it takes a good bit of effort and time to
put everything in place for a formal points league, and we thought
the season would have just a few races left before we got all our
shit in one sock.

I envision a (future) league that runs a 39-week season using three
different series (roughly described below):

Cup (10 oval, 3 roadies)
Trucks (10 oval, 3 roadies)
Trans am (13 roadies)

That arrangement would provide a pretty even allotment of ovals and
road courses.

The season would be broken up into three distinct parts (for each
series) with a week off between each. The first section would be
cup, followed by cts and finally trans am. Each section would have
it's own champion, but points would be carried forward to the next
section, working towards an overall champion.

Open setups, visual aids ON, driving aids OFF, cautions on (except
for roadies), moderate damage, racing back to the caution is allowed
when prudent/safe, no provisional starts or points would be
implemented (if you miss a race, tough cookies).

Active sharing of setup hints/help would be encouraged.

There would be no server restarts for people who miss the start, and
penalties will include both points deductions and next-race starting
grid black flags.

"Stupid racing move" enumerations would be limited to pretty much
one-sided comments provided by the league admin(s), and only league
admins would publish race reviews.

For the most part, the rules would be decided on by the admins, and
while member comment will be invited, expect a hard sell if you want
to see anything changed without precedent beefed up at least one damn
good reason. In short, once it's on the official rules page, it
should be considered all but cast in stone.
