RASCAR: Weekly update

I was in the middle of a non-voluntary layoff due to computer and isp
problems when the change of command came along, so I can't really say too
much about all that. I do know that I am enjoying RASCAR a lot more now than
then.

No one EVER said you have to pull over for anyone ZZ.  If youre faster then
go, if not then get the F&%K outta the way.  Really not any sense in
fighting so hard you both end up wrecked, which is where we were before.  A
little respect for fellow competitors goes much further and the past few
races prove that.

Without sounding too Simmonsesque, if you don't like the way RASCAR is now
ZZ then don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.  Basically you
just called me or others in RASCAR whiners??  This kinda thread sure isnt
helping the situation buddy.

Personally I think the racing has improved drastically.  7-8 yellows in the
past 3 races vs 10-12 per race which is what started all the BS.  If you
want to run yellowfests then go race sierra and quit crying about RASCAR.

I didn't much care one way or the other at first, but seeing how close I am
to Bama Dan is enough to ensure that I spend my free time this week
practicing. Didn't this week because I was initially gonna skip Marty, as I
have NEVER had an enjoyable race there, mainly due to the craziness that
allways seemed to follow a caution. Glad to see that mess was straightened
out.

Youre obviously still on some meds Simmons.

It happened because YOU decided RASCAR was going to be run your way or the
highway and used your usurped power in a way that was unacceptable to most
drivers, yet you still refused to listen to anyone (A dictator) and
implemented a bunch of rules that didnt help the racing in the least but
made Johnny boy feel like a big man.   After you decided David and I were no
longer members (for questionable violations at best) Eldred realized you are
totally out of control so he pulled the plug.  At that point David and I
decided we would pay a monthly fee to keep RASCAR alive which we've done.

Just the facts....

Jan you little devil, you musta read my mind...
especially after Marty went so well. Like I said, this stands out as the
only Martinsville race in my memory that wasn't a total cluster***.

Another thing comes to mind. I don't remember who it was behind me when it
happened, but someone was right on my ass at one point when I gave it too
much coming out of a turn and had the rear end start to come around. Had to
stomp my brake a couple times to keep the correct view of the track in my
rear view mirror, wound up slowing WAY down. I thought for sure I was gonna
get rear ended there, and if I had been, it would have been my fault.
The car behind me slowed down to my speed, and didn't even try to pass until
after I was back in control and on the throttle. Whoever you are, I am
impressed.

Yep, this is only going one way guys. A regurgitation of the facts as each
of you see them which will get wider apart. Feel like we've been there, done
that...

IIRC, I was 2 cars behind you when that happened.  There was alot of give
and take in both races.  Hats off to all!

I was at least competitive in the practice race but the feature everyone was
WAY faster than me.  I felt I was in the way so I retired.  Still great fun.

So tell me - there was no respect for fellow competitors before?  You still
have the same drivers, and even snagged some NEW faces(wider skill level
difference)...  Not flaming, I'd just like to know what's so different now that
makes everyone all touchy-feely and produces 5 or less cautions per race...

They only have 5 drivers starting the race ? :-)

Sorry, but it sounded more dramatic than 15 :-)

Well that just kills it for me.

Please understand, I didn't really want to take that cheap crack at Alabama
a few weeks ago, it's just that I have lived all my life in Atlanta, and
pretty much felt honor bound to say something like that. :)
