I'm surprised our 'imperious leader' Mr Menard hasn't jumped in to deal
with the problem, but well said, Bart.

This started off as being a pretty good joke, but it's starting to get
my back up now (or is that the idea...).  How can you have been proposed
by Mike and Eric when both have already said that there is NO LEADER?

Are these mythical 15 top Sim Racers the same folks from your earlier
list, or are you (as our imperious leader) going to let us in on who
makes this elite list?

I can only assume that your having a 'quarter life crisis' of some sort,
or that someone's posting in your place and taking the mickey, because
I'm afraid you're getting dafter by the post.

: each others throats....What a great start to his term of office :-(

Ouch!  It looks like he might be "leading" after all :-D

I also do not normally post in this group.  I just had to express how
idiotic I feel this whole situation is.  This Ymenard guy is most
likely laughing his ass off at all of you.  All of you writing posts
to this group on this subject is not only a waste of your own time,
but a waste of time for everyone that has to read them.  Something
like this should have just been ignored.  What's to discuss?  No one
voted him 'leader' and everyone knows that.  And even if they had,
there would still be nothing to discuss.  Last I knew this was an
unmoderated group.  I'm not exactly sure what 'duties' the 'leader'
would have, or what would cause all/most people to even treat an
elected leader as a leader, let alone some guy who one day says 'oh
btw I'm in charge here now.'  It's all idiocy and should just be
ignored, for Christ sake.

Bahahahah!

Stop it kid, really!

You're cracking me up.

This is not a Web site or a Web discussion FORUM.

This is a unmoderated NEWSGROUP, there are no leaders and there never will
be.

This has got to be a joke, I suggest you look up how USENET works, maybe
then you'll realize how stupidly funny your self-appointed leader status is.

Some suggested places to look:

Hehe thanks for a good laugh none-the-less, and tell your "Top15 SimRacers"
hi for me next time they bring Elvis down on their spaceship to do a few
laps around Bristol, hell maybe they'll be up for a race
to defend their "Top15" status.

Cheers.

I have a quick solution to our problems with this self appointed
"R.A.S leader"  YMENARD, put his handle(emall Id, ) into
your Newsreader filter(kill file).

Thats it, you never will hear from him again.

HEY dude, are you smoking the same stuff as YMENARD

Eric Helped others, with out asking anything in return, nor does he
wants too, he does this because he loves Sim Racing and wants
others to injoy it too.

And not so, we can call him a leader .
And also, there are others who can be called "leaders"
Certanly Ymenard is not one of them.

Ok. So
a) somebody has hacked into ymenard account?
b) he has forgotten to logout (several times in a few weeks? :-o)?
c) he has lost it completely?

Your arrogance, and your ignorance, exceeds by far anything displayed by M.
Menard.
Might I suggest that, for both the above claims, you visit your local
reference library and consult the appropriate books before making such
inaccurate and obviously ignorant statements here.

Whilst I could take up considerable time and space giving you a history
lesson here, I won't waste either that time or this space.

Indeed. He seems to be off contemplating his navel somewhere. I'm sure

Man, I'd LOVE to, but I use Netscape for everything (news, mail,

M. Menard,

Are you getting the message loud and clear or is it getting lost in the
translation?

You can call yourself whatever you like, that does not make you what
you claim to be. As far as I am aware you have no authority to "lead"
r.a.s., whatever that means.

You appear to be on a massive ego trip and it seems that, excluding
yourself, no-one is impressed.

Continue to post to this group, without arrogantly claiming to be more
important than others. Hopefully, you will be judged on the quality of
your future posts and not on this juvenile first step to world
domination.

Grow up.

Joe,

I can see you have little patience, and I suppose this would have to
include yourself.

I never took a shot at you, nor was my post a flame.  It was simply an
observation that you confirmed Franck's perception of Usenet, and my
exasperated ending....I don't recall stating my own views on the
subject.  I do see however, that you somehow felt either treatened,
or perhaps felt my comments were disrespectful?  I had no such intent.

FWIW, any derogatory statements directed at another, no matter if the
"tiniest of slights", is still demoralising, degrading, dehumanising,
and disrespectful.  In my book, there is no grey-area.

I feel that this is no less important than any other issue in our
society, since it tends to be the root of everything.  Is this concept
so difficult to grasp?  If everyone else is treating each-other in the
above manner, doesn't mean that I ought to take the same view.

Which brings me to the question: If Johnny were to jump off a cliff,
would you follow?
