Come on, John - you can ease up a *bit* now.  It's just a game, after all.  No
need to keep berating people.  Please don't take this as meaning that we don't
appreciate you keeping the roster/cars, etc.  But you tend to be "over the
top"...

Me neither, in N2002.  I ran a couple in N4.  I started a full-length season,
and I think I got to about the 6th race.  Crashed out of 3... :(

What laptimes do you pull at glen?
I've done a high 1.18, but usually I'm at 1.19 high
Probably I just need to do a lot of laps there, but the damn car just
doesn't seem built for it ;-)
If you run decent laps, could you please post a replay?

says...

Yeah, I do. Besides, I'm not being condescending.  I am stating the
facts as I see them.

I always assume people have enough knowledge about a subject before
jumping into it.  If you needed help with a car, all you had to do was
ask (as has been pointed out by others).  I have several paintjobs ready
for use (including a #98).

No, I don't.  I'm old.  I'm angry.  I'm set in my ways.  I refuse to
change to fit other people's unreasonable ideas about who and what I
should be.  I'm from the old school.  Learn it.  Live it.  As soon as
yuou accept it, you'll probably find */something* to like about my
attitude.  One thing I can guarantee you is that you'll never have to
guess how I feel about something.

I did, and I've made a suggestion (but you'll have to read that thread,
too).

Now, where's that bowl of cornflakes?

SierraID: jmoyer
Country: USA

It should show the sierra ID in the standings, but I'll change the
name in the copied car file anyway.  I'll use 29_j_moyer.cup.car since
you suggested that.

Thanks, John.  Sorry if there is another way I'm supposed to be going
about this rather than posting it on usenet. =)

> I went to the web pages, but can't figure out what I'm supposed to do.

> I can't find a specific listing of car numbers and who has them.

Larry,

Allow me to help;

On the left side of John's RASCAR-page( www.paddedwall.org/rascar/ )  you'll
see a bunch of numbers listed.. (0-9, 10-19 etc)

Those links contain the currect cars/roster.. (click 'em and you'll soon see
which number's are taken and which ain't)

To give you a quick rundown...  here are some of the free numbers:

01 to 04, 06 to 09 (please not that this is '08' and not '8'), 24, 26, 30,
32,34, 36 to 38, 40 to 42, 44, 46 to 48, 51, 52, 57, 58, 60, 62 to 65, 72,
73, 78, 79, 81 to 85, 92, 94, 95, 97 and 98.
For availible numbers between 100 and 299 - see
http://www.paddedwall.org/rascar/100_199.html

My suggestion is that you find a number you like and talk to John about
it...  I'm pretty sure he can paint a car for you and tell you how to use
it.  And if he for some reason cant - I can.

No worries - it's not very complicated :-)
