I don't have a special car.

You mean it's not showing up as the red #8?  I always thought it did :)

What numbers are available.  I can change, no problem.

This is an area of NR I don't really follow or understand.

It shows as a red #8 to me.

The reason it may not show as a red #8 to others is if they have removed
some or all of the original car set that came with N2002.

Whats the relationship between open/fixed and LPI?  I see very little.

None whatsoever, however the relationship between running open races, as
in pickup races, and LPI are significant :-)

lpi is never useless, as it always shows how hard you're trying to avoid
accidents.

haha! good one Eldred. I have hardly done races longer than 30
minutes in GPL, but the RASCAR races are two hours in front of the
steering wheel. There should be a autopilot mode during yellows to
allow running to the toilet :D

So when is the next GP? I need to do one of these before I die. Have you
done Mosport yet? I know Monaco hasn't gone down yet, but I don't think
I want to race there...yuck! Spa, Rouen, Watkins Glen, I forgot which
tracks have been run.

You can't use the #8 unless you're really a guy named Travis Lind
(that's who has the number reserved).

Like Ed said, go to the roster page here:

        http://www.paddedwall.org/rascar

and find a car number that's not already in use, and let me know here.

You can run to the bathroom if your car is sitting in the pits.  I've
had to do that very thing before (dinner from the previous evening was
being ***ly rejected by pre-existing tissue).  I went 15 laps down
at Taladega because of that "pit stop".
