Help: GPL and Voodoo3

by Mauro Dia » Sun, 21 Nov 1999 04:00:00

Just installed new Voodoo3 3000 (had a Viper 550 and Monster II 3dfx).
Everything seems ok. All my games work fine but GPL. When I run the game, 3d
acceleration is set to none. I change it for 3dfx and restart the game...
and nothing happens... goes back to none.

Anyone had this problem? Which voodoo3 driver versions are you guys using?

Help appreciated since I only run GPL...

I have had this same problem and the only way round it for me was an
uninstal of GPL and then reinstal it again. During the install you are
prompted for the type of video card you are using, i havnt found a way
of changing it apart from this. As you say a change to 3dfx from within
the game does nothing. Back up all the files you need like driver setups
etc and do a reinstall.....that will fix it.

I had the same problem...be sure that you have no glide 2x.dll or 2.53
installed in your gpl folder.  I deleted those files and V3 worked fine.
