Just place the attached bat file in your GPL directory and use it to start
GPL.  By using this you won't have to check and uncheck the "Limit texture
memory to 2meg" box in your Voodoo3 display properties.  The bat file sets
the texture memory to 8meg, I played around with the settings and this is
the max setting before the textures become garbled.  GPL is awesome at
1024x768 with the graphics and framerate maxed on the Voodoo3.  I hope no
one has a cow about the attachment, it is only 37 bytes.

Could you send a copy of your bat file to Allison Hine at her web site.
Then the
lords of VROC can spread it to the masses.  also you may want to send it to
Papyrus and 3dfx.  Thanks for your work man.

Thanks for doing this.  I hit upon the "Limit texture memory to 2mb" thing
real quick in the first night with the card, and hadn't had time to look
into a batch file.  I had a feeling that it could use more memory than the
2mb, since it seemed to do almost right at 640x480 and got progressively
worse the higher you went in resolution.  Glad there was a simple, and now
an even simpler, solution to this one :-)

I was going to modify the one written for the original European Air
War sim and offer it up but Trips stated that he threw a V3 in a
friends system and it just worked, so I held off. Glad to see it
works, hope the 1.1 patch, if it EVER materializes, addresses the
problem.

The problem is in 3dfx's Voodoo3 and Banshee drivers.  They are aware
of the problem, but they still haven't released a working Glide2.54
for Voodoo2 owners, so it might be a while...
