Voodoo3 and Banshee Fix for GPL

Voodoo3 and Banshee Fix for GPL

I'm joining this discussion a little late, but having just gotten a Voodoo3
I did a DejaNews search and read everybody's posts on the texture corruption
problems.

I found that using setting FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE to 8 alone did not eliminate
all the graphic problems in GPL. For example, in one replay, I noticed that
all the drivers appeared to be wearing clear visors. Ha! Amusing, but not
what we're looking for!

To fix this, I had to use the Banshee fix/Glide2x.DLL wrapper, but then
found it unnecessary to limit texture memory in any way.

From what I gathered, the consensus seems to be that a limit on texture
memory is necessary. Did I miss something, or has it just not blown up on me
yet? Thanks!

You are correct, if you are using the Banshee fix on your V3 you do not need
to limit texture memory.
