Well, until someone else figures out how to do it, it's safe

What is it that you don't understand?

What I'm saying is that GPL, as it currently sits, gives me what I want - an
extremely enjoyable playable history lesson.
I don't *need* any other versions of GPL in order to continue my enjoyment -
thus the reason for my statement that I don't care whether "GPL2" eventuates
or not.

If it does - fine.
If it doesn't - fine too.

Bruce.

85 this November.

Or is it 86?  Hard to keep track, some days.

He told you that, personally, did he Gerry?

And no, sadly, we aren't related. Not that I'm aware but if you can dig up
some proof I'd be most happy to pop over to the ancestral home and have a
chat with His Lordship.

Now let me think...

No, not exactly. But I can think of no other GOOD reason why it's public
use should have been restricted to one weekend last summer.

Whatever...

Why does me not liking Lord March and calling him a *** (you should
hear what Jody Scheckter says about him and his FOS) make you want to
chime in in such a abrasive manner?

[bottom posting]

I clearly did allude to the 'Ring in my post above-why are
people misconstruing what I'm saying?  The 'Ring (semantic
nitpick) isn't an "addon track made specifically/originally for
NR2003", as it was made for GPL.  I haven't seen a USER-
made track that long so far-all are under 5 miles.  I'll ask this
on the Pits board where I'm sure to get a straight answer... :-p

Heck no, in real life, a Solex is way too scary for me!   ;)

Well, the part where you said that as for racing sims you hate the present.

Or did you mean that you like the fact that GPL takes place in the past
(when things were more interesting in some respects), instead of
referring to current "GPL2" developments?

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't construing anything btw, I was just
asking because I hadn't understood.

As for the longer add-on tracks - I'd guess the longer the track, the longer
it takes to create the track and all the environment involved. Maybe N2k3
simply isn't hasn't been available for long enough time for someone to
already have created a really long track for N2k3 - considering that IoM
took a year to create, and anyone creating for N2k3 will first have to learn
how to make tracks for this sim as well.

I thought a Solex was a carburettor?
Why would it be scary?
