No other add-on approaching this size runs as smoothly as IoM does on my PC.

Our N2K3 league runs a version of Rouen with restrictor plated Cup
cars and it's an absolute hoot once you get used to how ***y wide
the car feels!

I see where you're coming from, and of course I respect your attitude and
personal preferences.
But, I'd like to race IoM in N2k3 for various reasons, and am of course not
happy when I see people applauding Jim for not converting it.
I think it wouldn't distract from your enjoyment of your own way of racing
when others raced whatever other cars at the IoM - unless you met them there
while racing? ;-)

But what if the 1950's mod is created using Nascar 2003 as platform?
If it in one month becomes evident that the N2k3 platform is similar to GPL
but easier to mod, I'd be surprised if the modders doesn't switch platform
much like the F1-200X modders now use F1C.
To me, it isn't a big deal how they create it. I'm just happy to be here
when it happens :-)

One Lap of America.
But at least in sim racing I can afford to exercise my preference! :)
Sounds like fun. :)
Did I tell you I met one of the top GPL'ers at Goodwood last year? Well
what a disappointment that was! The guys was an utter nerd, and with his
veal crate complexion, he looked like he'd spent the last four years
alone in his room hotlapping.
