Toca2 / Win2k problem

by Jeroen Ouwehan » Thu, 29 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi all!

I've tried to install Toca2 on my win2k box (Celeron 500, Voodoo3 2000 PCI,
192Mb RAM). The install goes fine, but when I start the game the screen
looks garbled (like the resolution is wrong, which isn't the case).

Does anyone else have this problem or a solution to this? I've tried the
registry hack, but that doesn't solve the problem. I'm pretty sure it's a
Toca problem as all my other d3d and glide games are running just fine...

Thanks in advance,

Jeroen
ps. please CC to my email, as I'm not always able to check the news

Jeroen, I honestly don't know, but just write to Codemasters support.
They're incredibly polite and prompt. Excellent customer service...

Well, you were right, they are quick to respond at Codemasters. They
referred me to ntcompatible.com as Codemasters haven't started to check for
compatiblity with win2k.

Anyway, Toca2 was listed as being compatible by someone on that site, but in
the forum people had the same problem (and no solution). So, I'll keep
searching I guess.

It works but you need to make a little tweak in the registry. Look here for
the details

I've tried the registry, that doesn't do the trick. The screen still looks
garbled :(
