N3+Win2K+GeForce=Problems (for me) Help!

by David L. Co » Thu, 27 Apr 2000 04:00:00

Win2000 with Beta 514 GeForce Drivers are working great with *almost* all my
racing titles: GPL, SCGT, NFS5 work great.  N3 on the other hand has a problem.

It seems as though whenever I touch a wall or another car it flips out back to
the desktop.  My last attempt actually rebooted my PC :/  Are there any
historical threads in RAS that have already been over this?  If not, any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.

N3+Win2K+GeForce=Problems (for me) Help!

Don't know about Win 2000 cause i use 98, but after one month of using
the GeForce and the severe heartburns and headaches it gave me,
i decided to put my V3 2000 back in and N3 and NL run smooth as silk again !

Had about the same probs as you, other titles ran very well on the GeForce,
but since N3 and NL are my favorites, i'll stick to the V3 for a while...
(And even F1 2000 seems to run smoother on it...)

I solved the problem.  I had to comment out the Force Feedback settings in N3.INI
because I'm still waiting (patiently) for Immersion to fix the Act Labs Windows
2000 drivers for the Force RS.  Now everything works GREAT!

Oh, and the NL Demo works too :)
