GPL 1.1 slomo problems

After installing the 1.1 patch back in August I got the so-called slomo
problems where the frame would just freeze and then run fast. I don't have
any problems with version 1.0 and I am not using a FF wheel. Now I remember
that there were certain explanations about how you had to change the IRQ
setting etc to get rid of those slomo problems. Does anybody know at which
website this is described???

Eric Cote at http://www.simracingmag.com/ found that this problem was
related to IRQ sharing on *his* system, but AFAIR his solution could not be
reproduced by other people, who have slo-mo problems with GPL 1.1.
The slo-mo issue is a known bug in GPL 1.1, which has been fixed in the new
1.2 patch, which will be officially released very soon (there are already
some unofficial beta versions around - just read the amount of other posts
in RAS)
