I find it strange that everyone else is dropping FPS now but for some reason,
I'm getting slightly better FPS.  I used to get constant 36-37 fps.  Now, the
frame rate counter holds a steady 37 and hits 38 a lot.  What's the deal with
this?  

BTW, my computer is a gGateway PII, 400 mhz, 64mb RAM, Voodoo2, I'm using
800x600 resolution, graphics at max

try checking if the game clock is running faster

in a multiplayer game time say 30 secs of game clock and see if it really is
30 secs

i think time may be running fast for you

see posting about time running slow below
