GPL lock-ups

by Ralph kara » Mon, 14 Jun 1999 04:00:00

I know I have seen info abou thtis in prior post but I can seem to find any
of those now that I need them.

I have been getting intermitten lockups in GPL.  The screen freezes, yet
sounds and wheel pedal inputs are still registered.

I seem to remember some advise about putting the 2.53 glide dll in the gpl
folder, but I am unsure which file specifically.

Pleas advise
Thanks

Regrettfully that did not solve my lock-ups.

My system is

128 MB pci100 RAM
Canopus Spectra 2500 TNT
Canopus Pure3DII 12 MB V2
Diamond MX300

GPL is the most used program however it is the only one causing problems.  I
have tried running at 300 MhZ, but that has not resolved this.  Please tell
me a V3 is not the solution.

Ralph, I don't think any one has a definitive solution to this problem.  It
has something to do with the V2 card -- possibly overheating.  Try reducing
V2 speed to 91 on the Voodoo panel or cooling the case in general.
