GPL lock-ups all of a sudden!?!?

by Dan Kap » Sun, 15 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I've had GPL since it was released and I've started having problems
with it locking up while going from on-track to pit/replay screen.  The
screen just stays black while I can still hear sound.  It doesn't do this
everytime, but I can count on it happening a few times during each sitting.
I'm using P2 400, 128 meg, CL 12meg SLI and Turtle Beach A3D sound card.
This problem just started recently and I haven't changed drivers or anything
else.  I'm stumped.  Any ideas?

I had similar problems. Then I returned from my Logitech mouse drivers
8.xxx to the older ones (7.2). That solved it (unbelievable...)

I had some problems with sounddrivers (W98) and directX6 did some strange
things (spookey...) which caused black screens. Your directX version?
