  I'm getting lock ups in GPL on my GeForce DDR/DVI card.  I'm using
the Guillemot drivers V3.77.  In the properties I have driver version
4.12.01.0377 listed and Bios version 2.10.02.04.  Are there better
drivers for this card?  Is this also a setting?  I do not have the
card overclocked at all.  Only happens in GPL that I've noticed.

I spent a long long time trying to fix the same problem, I tried everything
and spent a week posting messages on this group. Finally some came up with
the answer. All you have to do is go into the BIOS and   set the AGP
aperture to the smallest value (normally 4MB) as opposed to the normal 64 or
128 MB. If you set the mirror update down to 2 or 3 the frame rate improves
quite a bit too.
