i'm not having any problems with it. or maybe... I play two games that
thrash the 3d capabilities, Unreal Tournament and GPL, and both of these
are prone to maybe randomly crashing out after a while. Not sure if
that's
related to the winfast DDR itself, or athlon motherboard power supply
issues
feeding the geforce card, or rumoured issues with athlon motherboards
and my sb-Live!

But the performance itself is great with my athlon 700... with the
opengl
renderer i can hotlap at 1600x1200 and it looks great at 36fps, for
online
racing 1280x1024 is excellent, almost never dropping below 36. It even
ran 1920x1440 at 36fps in training, but it started slowing down on more
complicated parts of the 'ring. (I had to hack registry to make my
monitor
realise it could do that resolution, and recompile the opengl rasteriser
to go that high). i can't really see any useful difference between 1280
through 1920 on my 19" monitor, 1280x1024 is plenty sharp enough for
racing purposes, so i don't bother going any higher :)
The mirrors suck in the opengl renderer, you can't update them every
frame without losing fps, and they look really blurry at higher
resolutions.
But that's not much of an issue. :)
Warning - the chat text at 1280 or higher is so small you can't really
read it.

I say go for the GeForce, it kicks ass. and on the off chance you pick
up another game that uses the hardware transform and lighting, it will
take off and fly. unfortunately GPL can't do that. :(

Cool, my new Dell will have the 64MB DDR NVIDIA geFORCE Plus 4X AGP
(that's a mouth full).

Grant - how about considering RS Shifter support for GPL?  You guys did
it for N3 in a snap.  Intellivibe support (also supported in N3) would be
icing on the cake ;)
