Each card "may" have an advantage over the other is certain areas.
You really have to look into the future and try and guage just what
games you will be playing. If you are gonna focus on GPL, then all the
wizbang features on the GeForce just don't add much. But if Quake Arena
or similar products are your favorites then a GeForce could certainly
fill the bill. As of this moment, the only product out there that takes
advantage of the Geforce's tools is quake arena.
Only sim drivers by hardware to work with one game :) By this time
next year PLENTY of other products will be out that use both the
Geforce's and the 3dfx' gimmicks for more speed. But for now???
I haven't seen the review of SU-27, but I doubt its updated for the
Gforce, can't think of any driving sims yet that are....it just depends
what your future *** needs are.
And we can't compare a geforce with a V5 that won't be out for several
more months... Unless you really have a sucky system that needs to be
upgraded...I'd say wait til this round of improvements has happened.
