N2002 wheel problems

Hello All,

I've been playing N2002 happily with a MS sidwinder FF wheel.  All of a
sudden when I ran the game and it came up with the calibration screen and
wouldn't recognise the wheel controls.  I can't see any way to ge it
working.  The wheel is still working fine with other games.

Any ideas?

It does this if you press a key or button after launching the game, but
before the game starts up.
