GPL - Personal Toughest Corner??

My toughest corner in GPL? There are so many!!

Highest on my list would be the Rivizza at Imola. I'm already running
nearly flat out and sweeping to the left when I have to brake and
downshift while rolling into a slight right then back to the left for
the first of the two apexes... I never feel like I got it quite right.
And heaven help you if there is a car behind, because you WILL get
tagged if you try to be conservative.

Anyone else like to post what is their toughest corner and why?

Moss (5b) at Mosport.  Man, I can never seem to get the power down fast
or smooth enough to keep up with the fast(er)-guys down the back
straight :)

Im gonna say my toughest corner on the original circuts would be *** square
at Monaco.  No matter what I loose time here.  I either brake too early or too
late or try to trail brake and***that up as well.  Just cant get it right.

Now as for the add on tracks my personal hell is....well pretty much any corner
at Goodwood.  I can memorize all 174 turns of the Ring but the like 10(?) turns
at Goodwood still puzzle me.

Hasn't this already been done to death? Anyway, for me it's always been the
little left-right kink after the hairpin at Rouen. I only got that right once in
all the times I've raced and practiced there and I even went to the trouble of
recording a replay of it just to remember what it was like to slide through that
thing in a perfect four-wheel drift.

Turn 1 at Spa, but not at the start of a race, I mean when at full race speed.
That is one corner (of many) that I have never "nailed" . It looks like it
should be SO simple. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong there.I
think I am at the point now where I overthink it everytime I come to it. I know
my time at Spa would be significantly better if I could hit it a little more
consistently. My PB at Spa is 3.30.x.xsomething.

Still haven't figured out Solitude yet either, but I love the rhythym there,
especially the back part that starts with the river on the left.

The right hander at the end of the straight at Mosport always gives me fits
too.

What - again?!? :)
The left-hander before the hairpin at Rouen.  I can't brake in the
mini-straight after the turn because I can't slow down in time.  I can't brake
IN the turn because I spin out.  As a result, I brake BEFORE the turn, and
coast through it...and hope I've slowed the correct speed to make the hairpin.
I***this one up 8 laps out of 10... :(
Close second is the chicane at Monaco.  I can make it when I'm not trying to go
fast.  That's about it.

T2 at Kylami,
Ok I know your all saying "Whaaaaaaaa?"
But since I like to race so much at Kylami this is the one corner I always
have problems with, it's relatively easy to get through the corner but it's
a real make or break one for a lap, I always brake too early. If i try to
brake too late I usually lock up since I find it difficult going downhill.
Not a terrible corner, but a terrible one to drive perfectly.

Malmedy at Spa..
I am all over the place through there and never
seem to get it right. People always catch me there
which sets them up to pass me before Masta.

GPL - Personal Toughest Corner??

Ok, here is what Niki Lauda wrote in his book
"Formel 1  -  Technik und Praxis des Grand-Prix_Sports" in 1975
- well written book (in german), but most probably out of print.
btw: a picture of a Goodyear tire protocol sheet is given, looks exactly
like the tire readings in GPL-setup menu... (temps and pressure readings)

in alphabetical order:
(Some of these corners are available in GPL :)

1. the jump in Barcelona (wide left hander)
2. Brands Hatch: Clearways (surface change and track camber change,
Niki crashed in a F3 here..) and Paddock Bend (downhills, getting
narrower and bumpy braking zone "unerhoert holprig")
3.Interlagos Curva 2
4. Monza: Curva Grande (no particular reason given)
5. Mosport: the full-speed (1975 and aero help :) left kink
    down to the hairpin.
6. N.Ring: the jump (yes, even with aero!) between Pflanzgarten
and Schwalbenschwanz. no need to translate why, I guess :)
Niki also mentions that Mike Hailwoods' career ended here in 1974 :(
7. Oesterreichring: the fast uphill right hander (Hella - Lichtkurve)
after s/f which has to be taken without seeing the exit.
8. Silverstone: Woodcote (the old one without chicane  :)
with aero it's *almost* flat out... there has been a mass collision in
1973
   started by Scheckter
9. Watkins Glen: (different to GPL version?) the left kink to the Bridge,
where
Francois Cevert made his last mistake when he took it just a bit too far
   to the left :(
10. Zandvoort: the full speed passage (aero help, mind you..)
starting at Scheivlak, almost 1 km long, left - right - right
at full throttle with no margin for mistakes..
