It might be doing a broadcast on the lan or something?
It includes lan multiplayer :-)
Anyway, the physics is actually very good.
The thing is that it uses a very advanced formula from someone named Pacejka
to calculate the tire-grip, which requires a lot of constants as input. This
is the same formula and values real tire makers use to measure performance
of a tire.
The problem for us right now is that getting good values for the pacejka is
difficult ;-)
The tiremakers keep their data secret.
There is a guy named Jim Seamus, which is a guru at creating good ini's for
the racer cars.
I'm simply spoiled by his last masterpiece I guess...
As for the spinning on the nose thing,
Racer isn't that polished yet, that it deals with extreme values in a nicely
fashion.
If a formula gets an extreme input the result might sometimes be ***.
This is usually not a big problem, just as long as you dont "fall of the
track" or hit a wall very hard.
I really like racer. I just thought that the car was a little to snappy in
it's handling.
Probably an ini-thing.
Beers and cheers,
Carl
