ICR2 Qual and green flag questions ...

by Michael Bar » Sun, 09 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Is there a way to control which cars are out on the track during a road
course qualifying session?  They always seem to improve their time, but
it is never my favorite drivers.  Possibly an adjustment in the track
.TXT file?

Also, how do I change when the green flag drops at the converted Indy
track?  Right now it doesn't drop until the pace car crosses the
start/finish line in the pits.  I'd rather it drop when the pace car
gets behind the pit wall, like it did in the first version of the
converted track.

Finally, at the converted Atlanta track, the cars shoot up against the
wall briefly when they exit the pits, and slow down to a crawl OUTSIDE
the pit wall before passing through it to enter their pit.  This results
in many *** accidents.  I've got the second version of the .LP files,
I'm pretty sure, but it didn't seem to fix either of these problems.
Any ideas?

<stuff deleted>

I've never noticed the problem you report at Indy, but then it's been a while since I've been there.

I did notice the atlanta problem though.  It was extremely frustrating to be doing well in a race, then have the pit stops happen.  Some AI cars pit, and are exiting as you fly down the front straight.  All of a sudden your car is in pieces and you are sitting against the wall or in the grass.  I had to watch the replay to discover what I hit.  I'm not sure what version of the converter/patches I have, however, the problem is fixed.  I would suggest going to Gerhard's (sp?) page, get the most recent releases and re-convert atlanta (and maybe some of the other N1 tracks).
