NR99 Green Flag Jam ups!

What's the deal with the AI getting all jammed up at the start of the the
race? I've tried several quick races at almost all of the tracks and during
the first 2 laps the AI cars get all out of shape. They sometimes checkup
for no reason or get sideways. I remember seeing this on a few tracks in the
previous versions of Nascar but going back to N2, I haven't seen this
happen.

Has anyone else seen this?

This is like UbiSoft managing to work in bugs into MGPRS2 that were already
dealt with in patches to F1RS.  I NEVER thought I would see the day that
Papy managed to be this careless and inconsiderate to its
customers...especially when N99 represents about the same very small step
forward and really could be considered a big patch.  Very disappointing when
all the other bugs are included, too.

Happens to me all the time. One way I found to deal with it is to get
down on the apron (assuming you're starting on the inside), and pass. I
can usually pass about 30 cars on lap 1 at 'dega. Probably 20-25 of
those, I've passed by turn 1.
Of course, some folks called me a cheater when I posted that here. ;-)

Having started at the back of a few short track races, i find the jamups
remind me of some of the starts i've experienced. They were probably trying
to simulate that "jockeying for a spot" that frequently occurs. It is too
much at 'Dega, and other tracks though.

Just my thoughts .....

What's creating this problem is bad .lp files for the tracks you are
experiencing this at.  I know there is a patch at Sim ***wold for Taladega,
along with a few other tracks.  Look for patches that mention AI (artificial
inteligence) fixes.

Hope this helps,

Gary Beard
