I'm not going to be bitter about the late patch, just impatient. But
the above is a good point about keeping us informed- that damn WWW
page hasn't been touched since november! I think the switchover to
Sierra has taken a big toll on many things we don't fully know about.
I think Rick was completely sincere about getting the patch up by
today- maybe he succeeded in his role, or maybe he and his team are
still fighting with the patch. But Sierra seems to know nothing of
this patch- go ahead, try emailing them- no matter what I ask, like
"where? when", they respond " there is no patch for ICR2." I think
THEY are probably going to be the slow link in this last stage. So a
friendly but clearly anxious email to them might be useful.
Unfortunately, I think friday was Rick's last day- or is it next
friday? If next friday, then I imagine the reason we haven't heard
from him is that he's still sweating to get the patch ready- he
apparently pulled two or three all nighters before the release to
printers of the Mac/Win95 version. But he did finish by his
deadline...
Meanwhile, we could pester (nicely) Ed Martin in to giving us a clue
what's happening. I am as eager as anyone to get that patch!
