I can see me still driving GPL around Christmas 2000, and there's no other
game available for which I could say the same.

That sums it up for me... ;^)

Thanks to all the people who have made add-ons for GPL, espically to the
person who made that AI tweaker, it has helped me get faster (I'd give up
with out it). And those 16-bit***pits are way cool. I wasn't to impressed
with the Brands Track, but it's it's nice knowing it's there for a new
challenge.
If GPL had been released with all the stuff that you can get online, it
would have been a run away sucess (in terms of profitablity).

GPL is by far the best sim (and game) ever! BIG thanks to Papyrus,
everyone who has done something for the sim, and of course to everyone
who have bought it and this way supported Papy.

Totally agree with all the above posters,THANK YOU PAPY,NOW is the time for
PAPY to cash in on the commercial side, the bugs have been ironed out,the
general computers people are using are more advanced, consequently the frame
rate is faster so the playability is easier,if they either re-packaged,or
brought out GPL2 with an interface such as jack rambo was working on to
appease the AVERAGE car simmer, this then would appeal to a vast public who
ARE NOT die hard simmers, but would not affect the serious player.
Without a doubt this is the best racing game (sim) around,PAPY capitalise on
it!! make it user friendly, then you can extend the series i.e. 1971 series
or what ever or even a current F1 series, guy's everyone uses GPL as a
benchmark to judge other sim's,CAPITALISE on it COMMERCIALLY.regards dennis

Lucky you.
I have spent thousands on phone bills <G>

Seriously though, nothing comes remotely close to GPL and will not for the
foreseeable future.

I started driving racing sims when GP1 started on the Amiga (good old days) and i have seen several good sims, incuding several from papy. But at this moment nothing beats GPL. Still having much fun with online *** with friends. Thanx papy.

I'm sure I am not the only one who would like to publicly express
my gratitude to the few people who have babied GPL along since it came
out. The number of addons and sites (200+) are amazing considering that
GPL is considered by the industry to be a loser. Well we know it's not.
I wish I knew the names of all the people at Papyrus who have stuck
with it and given us the 1.2 patch. They get blamed for Sierra's
decisions falsely when they should get our appreciation instead.
As for VROC, SpyBoy and now WinVROC.. These people deserve
recognition and a great deal of thanks from all of us for the efforts
they have put in on their own time. Even if I knew how I'm not sure I
could show the dedication that has been demonstrated over the past year
  and a half.
Although it would be easy to name a few of the more well known
folks I will not because that would detract from the knowledge that
  there are probably 10, 20 100?who we don't know.
So, for all those people who have slaved  over a hot keyboard (or
  wheel :o)..............
                            THANK YOU! THANKYOU! THANK YOU!

Yup, no other racing sim comes close to the thrill of racing GPL on the net
or offline.

Thanks to everybody involved!

Mike.

Absolutely!!!  Thanks to all those that have been involved in making GPL
the great game/sim that it is today.  When they talk about value for
money then no other software has come anywhere near close.  I've paid
30UKP for something that has kept me coming back for more for 100's of
hours and with little sign that my enthusiasm is decreasing in any way.

John,

Well said.  I also throw my "Thank You's" into the post as well.  If I had
anything bad to say about Papyrus, it would be that my wife hates them now,
because I don't go out anymore.  I just race.

I would also like to say Thanks  for ICR1, N1, ICR2, N2, NR1999, N3 and NL,
all of which I own.  Actually own everything Papyrus has developed.. (yes,
even 'Indianapolis 500 - The Simulation' and SODA)

Well done!

Awesome game. Bought it when it first came out, spend hundreds of hours
on it, then forcefeedback - WOW.

Thankyou for the uncompromising physics model. Thankyou for the readble
.ini file. Thankyou for the forcefeedback.

Nothing matches the feel of a car like GPL. Nothing gets the dynamics so
right (the feel when going over a bump is awesome - feeling the weight
shift is fantastic).

Thanx to all people who did  the***pits, sounds. The fantastic setup
advice fron Nunnani -  and many many others for utilities and track
patches and so on.

Please please please realise ICR2 with this technology!!!
