Is there a " how to " site / document  I can use to setup my system?

From what I have heard, OGL is supposed to be much faster than D3D in N4.  I
am getting exactly the opposite.

PIII 933
ASUS CUSL2
256megs 133 CAS2 RAM
ATA 100 drive.
Voodoo5 5500
AA set to Fastest Performance

With D3D it never gets below 24 fps, maxes out in the high 30 fps range
With OGL it is around 8fps sitting in the pits - to choppy to go anywhere
else.

3dfx Tools Version  is 2.6.1.110
Driver Version is 4.12.01.066

As a comparison, I have a

PIII 933
ASUS CUSL2
256megs 133 CAS2 RAM
ATA 100 drive.
Erazor X2

This system gives
With D3D it hardly ever drops in the 20 fps range and  maxes out in the high
50 fps range.

With a Voodoo5 card D3D is the way to go. OpenGL is wayyy too slow in this
particular sim for a V5 card.

Also I got a roughly 50% speed boost by using the beta V6 driver on my V5,
on this link. Give it a try.

50% boost, WOW!  I will be trying those out for sure.  Anyone else running
them, any problems with other titles, I only run GPL, Q2/Q3, UT, CS and N4.
