GPL: Graphic and FF problem

by tei » Sat, 26 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I recently installed GPL on my pc,,,, --

K6-2 350 MHz, Voodoo3 2000, W98, DX 6.2

I also installed the 1.2 patch.

Problem no 1:

The graphics are not right.  I don't know how to describe it, but it
doesn't look good.  Lots of dots on the tires etc.  The frame-rate is ok
36 fps.

Problem no 2:

The force-feedback is not working.  I have the core.ini file with

allow_force_feedback = 1  ; 0 = No *  1 = Yes
force_feedback_latency = 0.085          ; Default = 0.085
force_feedback_damping = 40.0  ; Default = 40.0
max_steering_torque = 225.0  ; Default = 225.0

Please help

GPL in it's unpatched state did have a problem with Voodoo3 cards (corrupt
textures in higher resolutions), the patch should have fixed this so I can
only suggest making sure you have the latest Voodoo drivers.

Check the properties of your core.ini file. As windows doesn't show filename
extensions by default the chances are that its actual file name is
core.ini.sample. You may need to rename it.
