I have both, and both work just fine for control or force feedback
effectiveness.  The ACT wheel has paddles that can be used for a
shifter, or you can program the wheel buttons for that.  The ACT wheel
has a better "feel" to it (for me) than the Logitech, and I rather
prefer the ACT paddle shifter since it is easier to tap and can be used
well with either hand.  Both could benefit from the use of TSW pedals,
since they both have a little "stickiness" in their rather short
travel.  My personal preference overall is the ACT Force RS, but you'll
get a lot of Logitech fans too (it's cheaper and seems to work OK).

I just got my Act Labs Force RS and I can say that it works pretty good.  I
can't really compare it to any other FF wheel as this is the first one I've
tried.  I've been using a ECCI CDS1 system before I got the Force RS.

The comments from Terry are pretty much on target.  The peddles do seem to
have a little stick to them.  They sometimes rub-up against the sides of the
base where they come out, but I think they might get better with more use.

The wheel is very nice.  I like the leather(?) cover, it gives the wheel
nice feel.  I found turning the wheel a little tough since the CDS1 (non-FF)
system I used before was so smooth, but I would think all FF wheels have a
ratchety type feel to them.  The abundance of buttons (and a hat switch) on
the wheel is really nice, but for GPL you don't really need all of them.

Another plus to the Force RS is that it can be used with the N64 and PSX.
You need to buy the special cartridge for those systems if you plan on using
the Force RS with them.

It's a good wheel.  I'd give it my two thumbs up!

The logitech has this too.

Huh./ I found the Logitech wheel and shifting paddles to be very similar
to the real F1 steering wheels. Fox Sports Net showed a steering wheel
up close and showed how it worked during the last F1 race.

The Logitech has sticky pedals??? Haha that is pretty funny. Because
of the way they are constructed this is quite impossible.

The logitech wheel is cheaper??? Haha... It cost $179 while the
ACT Labs wheel cost $139. Are you sure you own both??? You
have too much mis-information IMHO.

The Logitech wheel is only $99 at Best Buy stores, so it is
a bit cheaper.

I would not be surprised to find that some obscure web site had
them for that cheap. But not Best Buy...
