Bullshit. What a weak response.
Name the dissidents Bush is oppressing.
Don't give me some lame ass musings about partisan programs.

Arrests like these are actually pre-planned by the protesters to draw
publicity to their cause.   The protesters are required by law to stay
in certain areas to protest and in order to get arrested they will
leave these areas.  It creates an excellent photo-op and news story
(nun being led away in handcuffs) for their cause to fool the more
naive. This is obviously not oppression of their free speech. Just the
opposite.

Same thing here.  The sign protesters are required to stay in certain
areas per the Secret Service.  If they leave the areas they are
obviously going to be questioned by Secret Service.  This is pretty
standard security stuff and has been happening for years.  I seem to
recall a number of similar incidents between anti-Clinton protesters
and security when Clinton was being impeached and accused of***.

The way i see it .. what america needs most is to diminish the numbers of
anti americn terrorists around. There present policy is doing the opposite
... youve prolly killed a few hundred terrorist by now ... but i bet theres
tons of nutters signing up for terrorist cells as we speak after whats been
happening. The way its going ATM for every 100 you kill a 1000 will sign up.
And the harder the policies get the worse it will be for you

Normally I'd agree with that :-), but like someone else already said, it
must be possible to be critical of the way the US (or whoever) does
things without being labeled anti-American, communist or whatever

Some people, myself included to a certain extent, doesn't agree 100%
about what's going on, just let me give you an example, more people die
from AIDS *every* day than the number of people who died in the WTC
attack, yet we don't see the same governments falling over each other to
come up with a cure, or even making it possible for them do die a
"decent" death in the meantime, in certain parts of Africa 30-40 % of
the population has AIDS or HIV, and yes, at some point in the not too
distant future I'll get to see up close what AIDS is all about, my 1st
cousin has HIV

Just trying to put things into perspective, nothing wrong about being
proud to be an American (or something), but that doesn't automatically
mean that those that don't agree with you 100% are against you, and when
you make statements like....
---
The civilian scumbags of the countries that harbor these terrorists
were dancing in the streets at the news of thousands of American
civilians killed.
---

I bet most people in Afghanistan didn't even know about the attack, many
of them struggle just to stay alive in a country that has been at war
for the past 20 years, their only crime being born in a country where
the government thinks it's OK to kill their own citizens to meet their
political/religious goals, and then the most powerful nation in the
world starts dropping bombs on them

A sad world indeed if you ask me, no, I don't consider myself
anti-American, I'm anti-BS, oh, and I also don't like cruelty to animals
:-)

Beers and cheers

Your kidding...right? No?

Blind emotional patriotism and religious fundamentalism have much in common.

Yes, the Bush administration has been very clear on it's hatred of all dissent

Captain America? LOL!

With a mind like you've expressed here it's not surprising you have no
clue of the responsibility the U.S. bears for the history in the Middle
East that motivates people to suicidal ***.

I pray that enough of us in the U.S. will learn from the mistakes this
country's leadership has made in our name to stand up and change the
direction we are headed...assuming there is enough of a working democratic
process left to make a difference after the president from Enron is gone.

But the better it will be for the President from Enron's ratings...unless the
tide of xenophobic super patriotism becomes a sane analysis of the problem.

Hey Captain ***head, all I've done in this thread is post a link with no
comment and you think you know my views on this subject?

I'm sure you're some well known r.a.s. *** who's hiding behind a cute
nickname. Why don't you tell us who you really are?

Pretty cowardly thing for Captain America to do.
