too bad it didnt continue

we're a superpower.  There are some things that are incumbent upon a
superpower, Im sure our opinions on whatr those things are, differ.

they can, unless we stop them.  Im glad they isnt someone like you in
charge..so we can pretend to feel safe being a sitting duck.

it is, you're wrong.

its the first time I used it.  I think you need to get less confused.

I guesss all the $ GWB is putting into developing hydrogfen as a fuel is
just propaganda, eh?

when is the last time the USA was conquered, DGF?

no, we ended it.

youre making my point for me.  You go around the world incapacitating them
before they do.

WE arent treating them any way.  WE are tretaing their nation, whose
responsibility it is to care for their own children.  You see a direct cause
and effect with no middleman, I don't.

because we are the most powerful nation on earth and we wont stay that way
without defeating challenges, hopefully before they increase in
dangerousness

That is a horribly naive thing to say.  Did Kuwait stick its nose into Iraqs
business?

or maybe we have brains and foresight enough to head things like that off at
the pass instaed of sitting around like ninnies waiting for them to happen.

if others run their lives in a way that does not threaten us or some little
defenseless country, then we pretty  much leave them alone.

he didnt say much. ergo, neither have you.

ashamed and bragging are little, human emotions.  giant countries dont
function on little human emotions, maybe thats why you cant understand how
this whole process functions.

and so explain to me why preventing other countries from having nuclear
weapons, especially ones prone to doing things like flying planes into
buildings, is not a good idea?

less easily now than before, which ought to be enough to shut up people
whining about liberties being taken away.

what the hell are you talking about?  we are reposinding to danger and you
pinheads are trying to characterize it as some kind of selfish bullying.

sheesh

you guys have trouble with the concept of direct cause and effect, dont you?

You introduced that word, Byron, not me.

lots of things, all of them renedered more SAFE by the USAs agressive policy
of defense.

for the sake of argument.

that affect, not effect.  You argument is such nonsense that it isnt worth
battling.  IF you cant understand what I said plainly, then you arent very
bright.

no, but its hard not to call someone who missed such an obvious point,
something.

not really.  actually you are trying too hard to be  cutting and are coming
across like a smartass kid.

geez. im sorry I didnt realize that you control my destiny.  please accept

I can see from your posts that your obviously a fan of GB. He's as oily as
they come, and everyone knows it.

A lot of countries that have been existence far longer than the U.S. haven't
been conquered in a long time. So what?

There's 6 billion people on this planet and due to technology, it only takes
a handful to inflict a ton of damage. It's bizarre to think you can
"incapacitate" everyone who wants to attack us.

You think we've been successful with this war against Afghanistan? As far as
I'm concerned, it's been a failure. We negotiated for weeks with the Taliban
saying that unless Bin Laden was turned over, we would invade. The whole
decision to invade was based on him been given to the U.S. Now, after
bombing the shit out of that country and killing civilians, all of a sudden
Bush says getting Bin Laden isn't necessary. WTF? Bin Laden was why we
invaded. I thought we were going to do EVERYTHING possible to find him.
We've had three casualties (that's obviously a good thing) because the
American troops haven't been put in any danger in the U.S.'s weak search.
When you have three casualties in a war, then they absolutely are not being
put in any danger. The Northern Alliance did all the dirty work and suffered
all the casualties. Maybe that's why Bin Laden and most of his lieutenants
are still on the run?

Where are all the terrorists that have been captured? They've got a few
hundred Taliban soldiers locked up so far. Big deal. You think we're any
safer now? You think we've "incapacitated" the terrorists? LOL. They're just
more determined than ever now. Bush can repeat this same routine on another
five countries and nothing will have changed except the terrorists will be
even more determined. Yea, we've knocked down some training sites in
Afghanistan. Big deal. It's probably only going to take a few more
terrorists attacks here in the U.S.or Europe before this stupid flag waving
stops and people stop blindly believing the ***coming from the White
House.

Notice the 'if' in my sentence Dave. It's not much use taking sides
since there is no proof to backup either side.
But just imagine he did.. when you look at it extremely objective, it
did avoid a much worse fate then.. still a disgusting thought though.

This evening I spend searching the Net with the url's Jason mentioned
in the post above, and it's making me a bit paranoia actually.. I
don't know what to believe, but it's facinating to read all these
theories..

Andr (see, I remembered the )

One of my loathsome secrets is an unseemly urge to peruse conspiratorial sites
on the web. ;) Occasionally I come across a silly or controversial theory and
fire up the good old Google search engine and feast my blurry eyes upon pages
and pages of whacko theories and serious debunkeries (debunks? debunkments?
whatever). I usually spend a day or two on each theory before moving on to more
wholesome pursuits such as posting at the www.racesimcentral.com forums or
reading the good bits at www.simbin.com . Anyway, it's good, clean fun to see
how people want to delude themsleves into believing eg. that man never set foot
on the Moon, that there is a face on Mars, that aliens made the crop circles,
that the Holocaust did not take place, that A.Warringa crashed at Monza, or that
the famous Alien Autopsy movie is genuine. (And there are many more -
www.artbell.com is a good place to start - or bad).

Cheers,
Kruuse, slightly silly candidate

One thing to keep in mind right now: THIS is the important stuff!

Think about that next time you argue with DGF.

All the other theories are ofcourse nonsense, including that crash at

It would have been utterly stupid to Just Let It Happen (tm).  I can
name over a dozen things that could have been done without "tipping
anybody's hand" about the attack.  Letting the fleet get hammered was
the least likely course of action even if FDR was a freaking VAMPIRE.
Please, apply a little critical thinking here.  Which is better: FDR
knows about the attack and does nothing, risking exposure and
defamation OR FDR who knows about the attack and, "by the deligence of
our administration" averts sure disaster by thwarting the dastardly
plans of the evil Japanese?  I mean, really, what choice makes more
sense?  So, if he did know and did nothing, what the hell would he do
that for?

It's disgusting the kind of stupid rumors you hear about this event.
Most of them originate from people who hated FDR so much that they
will do anything to defame him.  Sick minds.
