Which racer has the best FF implementation?

Does GPL support it - I don't have a FF wheel  - yet!  :-(

GPL, Nascar 4/2002, netKar, LFS. I consider these have a playable FF system.

...among the consoles, only Gran Turismo has anything like a real FF
implementation.

F1 2002 and Live For Speed are head and shoulders above everything else.

I always felt it was between two of them.  GPL and Viper Racing.  I have to
give the nod to GPL mainly because it helps make a nearly impossible sim to
drive far, far more accessible to the less experienced.

F12002's FF isn't anything near GPL or Viper Racing, IMHO :)  I don't even
find F12002's FF that compelling at all.

The best one is F1 2002 i think. You can really feel how the tires scrub
etc!. Very good.

Well, you haven't set it up properly.  I've played GPL extensively and many
other long-time sim'ers would agree that its FF effects aren't even in the
same ball park as F1 2002.  I'd even say that GPL's FF is only marginally
better than GP4 - and that's saying something!

N2002 beat's them all - hands down.

F12002's FF - stinks - IMHO... And the fact that you have to spend hours
just to set it up so it works reasonably well - say it all....   When will
these developers learn from Papyrus and make a *simple* and effective
contoller-setup interface that works so well..   All this mumbo jumbo ***
they put in just ruins everything...

We are talking force feedback right?  I can't believe nobody has suggested
any of the rally games such as Rally Trophy or Rally Championship.  Those
games will bring make force feedback come alive!

Yes!  Rally C'ship (aka Mobil 1) had marvellous FF...including an absolutely
"dead" (i.e., numb) feeling when traversing ice, as it should be!

Agreed, F1 2002 FF is superior to GPL - especially with the right settings
for my MOMO.  Prior to F1 2002 I thought GPL was king and Viper a very
competent second (since surpassed by LFS).

The question/statement(I forgot which started this all ) :>  was
which program had the best FF, not which had the best Controller config
setup.  Agreed, the FF in GPL/N2k2 is great, but once you dial in F1 2k2,
the FF is either neck and neck or even better.  Going around a large radius
constant turn like the Parabolica is a fine example of FF, IF the forces
inform you that the fronts are jussst about ready to break loose and I get
that from F1 2k2.
Unfortunately, you have to dig and work hard to get them setup.

Well I'm sorry but Force Feedback is directly related to the concept of a
configuration for the "Controller".  Again, Papyrus shows how it can be
done, in a simple and effective manner.

After constant tweaking of F12002, I'll say the FF of NR2002 is still far
superior.  But it it's a stock-car's nature to be much more muchy and soft,
so some might feel F1 2002 to be superior due to the feedback giving the
driver a much higher frequency of feedback.

Perhaps it depends on the wheel.  I have an LWFFGP, which admittedly is
a cheap wheel but guess what?  It works just fine with ISI's latest
games.  I have done a whole lot of tweaking and never gotten the FF in
GPL, NASCAR anything, or Viper Racing to work to my satisfaction.  No
matter what I do with the settings GPL gets way too light at the limit,
and the latency correction that I have to use with GPL or any other Papy
game in order to get the correct handling is so high that I get spiking
every few seconds.  The NR2002 road courses are almost impossible to
drive due to the spiking.  I can get rid of the spiking by using
asymetrical setups or by turning the steering ratio up really high, but
neither of those things is good for lap times.  MGI's stuff just doesn't
feel right, too laggy and too uneven.  OTOH in F1 2001 and F1 2002 I was
able to get it working well pretty quickly, it feels realistic, and
there is no lag in response.  With FF type set to "wheel", FF effects
set to medium or low, and a moderate level of strength (with the correct
polarity) it just f*cking works great, no further tweaking required.
The only tweaking I have done was for convenience, turning off the
rumble strip pull effect and so forth.  Not necessary.  I think what
throws some people is that they don't realize that they need to have
speed sensitivity off and x axis sensitivity set to 50% to get linear
response.  If you don't have the steering response linear, the FF won't
be linear either, because the steering ratio is also the torque ratio.
But you don't have to tweak it, this can all be done from the menus.
