Loss of FF with MS FF Sidewinder in NON-FF games

by rj » Sun, 30 May 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

When i play games that don't use forcefeedback directly (grand prix
legends, etc), i lose force when i press one of the buttons on my
MS Siderwinder FF Wheel.
I only get it back when i keep pressing one of the buttons.
This is very strange.
Has anyone experienced this also ? And what is the solution ?
Is it a hardware problem or software ?

How high is your spring centering effect set to? I believe
I had mine set to 25%.

With a lower spring centering effect, the force won't disappear
completly ?

Nope. In F1RS it ended up enhancing the FF effect tremendously.
I found that more was not necessarily better :-)
