I am curious as to how many of you drive (in GPL) with one foot or two. I'm
trying to drive with two feet and is proving to be a little weird. What say
you master GPLers?

I've always driven one foot. I'm curious as to see how you think it could
possibly make a difference?

I believe any one to do one foot driving to be insane and am curious as
to what their lap times are. Implying that i'm a two footer.

A one-footer here.  Always right foot brake.  As for times, F1
Monza-1:29.36 and F3 Tally-1:08.59  I know, no braking at Tally.  Till
you come up on them AI!!!  LMAO

That's weird... I've always thought that left-brake right-gas gave
quicker response, more control but i never knew that, so far, a good
number of people used single foot. As for my times, 1:06.00 at WG, with
heavy modification of my own 1:27.98 at Monza.

Been a 2-footer since beginning sim-racing with my trusty T1 wheel. Got so
accustomed to it, I drive my actual cars 2 footed as well. Cant seem to use
my right foot for brakes anymore, just doesn't have the precision that my
left foot does.

Of course, driving a manual car forces me into "mostly" right foot
braking... but you would be amazed how much braking I do with my left foot
even in a manual car <G>

2.  It's unrealistic, but I figure everyone that I compete with is doing it,
so what the heck.  Strange how it felt so natural the first time I tried it
in GPL, but feels really weird when I try it in a real car.  A 1:26 at
Monaco is my finest lap so far.  I'm curious to see if any fast guys use 1
foot.

In my roadcar I have always used right-foot-braking and will always do, but
since I bought my wheel i have always done left-foot-braking. I think the
pedals on the MSFF have to much space between them to right-foot-brake.

I have some trouble to understand why in real racing many drivers have huge
difficulties to go from right-foot to left-foot braking.

I'm using one foot only, like I do in real life. Ofcourse then I have cluch
to tend to, but it is difficult to change a habit. As for times: Monza
1.28.31 and The Glen 1.04.97, both in the Ferrari

I race GPL and also in Real life..   I use 2 feet for GPL but race with both
feet in real life.

Left foot when I don't have to down shift, and right foot when I do so I can
"heal and toe".  I don't mind braking with either, but I use both feet (ie
left foot) in GPL to allow me to modulate and use both accelerator and brake
at the same time.  as is somtimes needed.

I thought so too. Isn't it logical that left foot braking is faster?
With right foot braking, you constantly have to move your right foot
from the gas to the braking pedal. This must cost time? And why use
one foot for braking and giving gas, while you have two of them?

Due to the fact that I was involved in an industrial accident eleven years ago
I only drive with one foot...literally!

I've used two feet since the day I got my first computer
steering wheel.  I'd drive my real car that way except
my damn legs (I'm 6'2") won't fit under the steering
wheel at that angle.  Also, the clutch would be kind of hard
to use if I left-foot braked.
