I have been doing some right foot braking the last couple of days to
prepare for this season. To my amazement, I turned  in my fastest ever
lap of Watkins Glen - 1:06.61 and it was during a race, so I wasn't even
speed shifting.

Therefore, in conclusion, I conclude with fairly conclusive evidence
that right foot braking is pretty okay. Okay?

Yes--though I'm no speed racer, I use it to try and minimize drastic pitch
changes.  At least that's my theory.

Sure!  And all those people have been telling us right foot brakers that
we could never go as fast as they do because of it.  You show them for
us, Rob!!

BTW--congrats on the new PB time!

Right foot braking doesn't slow you down 3 seconds. Hotshoes does 1:03's -
1:04's depending
on current car.
Your time is good, but you can't make any comparison with left or right foot
braking here because
of that 3 seconds...I don't mean to put you down in any way, I'm just
realistic. If you have been doing
left foot braking earlier and now test right foot braking, the reason that
you made new PB could be just
because you're not so good(precise) with your left foot. Tell me when you
break into 1:03's and I consider
rightfootbraking... :)

I don't think it's about breaking 1:03, but which technique makes the driver
faster, no matter what his time is.  He may or may not ever get to 1:03, but if
he is faster with the right foot, it's his best chance.  I for one feel too
much emphasis is placed on which foot and not enough on the balance and setup
of the car itself.  I have had the sim less than 7 weeks and have a pb of
1:29:82 at Monza in a Ferrari.  And yes, I right foot brake.  I am defiantely
faster with the right foot.  Better feel and all that.  I choose to have a soft
front suspension that allows me to throttle steer.  This is what I am fastest
and most comfortable with, which is what the bottomline is anyway.
Just my humble opionion.
