actually a CMS short throw

As for the left foot braking discussion its being going on for years in
the real racing world and at the moment the trend is LFB due to
clutchless transmissions and serial shifters. But still its not
recommended before you get experience with normal braking. As for sim
racing I never used a wheel and pedals so...

You can use throttle _and_ brake at the same time, which decreases
oversteering and you can "easily" balance cars oversteering and
understeering in corners. This way you can make very oversteering setups,
which will make car turn better. Also, transfer from brake to
throttle is smoother, because you can "give some" throttle already when
brake is still slightly pressed. So it's about _setting_ "it" smooth and
making it turn.

I don't drive Lotus, so I don't post my laptimes ;)

I've always used my left foot for braking ever since I purchased my
1st set of pedals. Funny enough I never really thought about it at
all, and I just presumed everyone else in the sim world did the same.

And you know what?  I'd be happy with 1:28's...<g>  That's two seconds from
where I am now...

I use left foot braking (Right foot for throttle control, and left foot
for brake control) on both my F1 Sim, F1 Sim Compact and my old T2
pedals.

I've found it easier braking this way, provided you have decent sized
pedals, if you have big feet and small pedals, left foot braking can be
a problem. But I'm only a size 8 foot, and the F1 Sim (full size) and T2
has pretty large pedals on large bases. The F1 Sim Compact, has fairly
small plastic pedals, on a large base (but I don't use them much
anyway!)

I'm pretty slow compared to most on-line racers, my best F1 times (in
the Eagle) are Monza = 1:29:88 and WG = 1:06:84 and Rouen = 2:02:84 but
I don't really put in the hours now, too much other stuff to do!!!

8-)

Ah.....and what do you do with the three spare foots? <g>

Nooo, they need their left foot for that small wiper-water ball pump ;-)

Luckily you added this line:

Can anybody master left foot throttle and right foot braking?
