As for the left foot braking discussion its being going on for years in
the real racing world and at the moment the trend is LFB due to
clutchless transmissions and serial shifters. But still its not
recommended before you get experience with normal braking. As for sim
racing I never used a wheel and pedals so...
I don't drive Lotus, so I don't post my laptimes ;)

I've always used my left foot for braking ever since I purchased my
1st set of pedals. Funny enough I never really thought about it at
all, and I just presumed everyone else in the sim world did the same.

Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

I've found it easier braking this way, provided you have decent sized
pedals, if you have big feet and small pedals, left foot braking can be
a problem. But I'm only a size 8 foot, and the F1 Sim (full size) and T2
has pretty large pedals on large bases. The F1 Sim Compact, has fairly
small plastic pedals, on a large base (but I don't use them much
anyway!)
I'm pretty slow compared to most on-line racers, my best F1 times (in
the Eagle) are Monza = 1:29:88 and WG = 1:06:84 and Rouen = 2:02:84 but
I don't really put in the hours now, too much other stuff to do!!!
8-)

Can anybody master left foot throttle and right foot braking?
